Great Dad write more than just glitchy emo bangers. Slow Dance release 1000 Speedboats / Humming also sees the merging of cutting social commentary and an exploration of the trans experience with poetic wit and impressive pop song writing ability. Their eponymous debut album sees them further this, as they make the most of the new room for exploration whilst also keeping the songs short, disjointed and entirely unique. All the while Great Dad’s line up has grown from a raw minimalist duo into a fully-fledged 6-piece; impressively combining and bringing to life their distinctive warped midi sound.
